I’ve been a fan of Amanda’s playing for quite a while now. Ever since she’s moved to Indianapolis, I have wanted to get her on the show to talk about music and her playing. Well, we kept scheduling and re-scheduling interviews and finally she put her foot down and recorded a GREAT album which would force me to book her on the show and play her music!
And what an album! “Empathy” is a beautiful journey through different landscapes, atmospheres and textures. The tune writing is subtly dense and engaging. The band she put together locks in immediately to give that foundation and support over which she excels.
I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Amanda, and just let the record show, she has an open invitation to come on the show ANYTIME!
