Each year Matthew and I create dozens of shows for your listening pleasure. Each show has a ‘theme’ whether that theme is an artist, a mood, a historical date, or some random thought that we have that week, a theme is present.

One of our favorite shows to do is to present to you some of the new music that is coming out each and every day! If that music is written, recorded and produced right here in Indianapolis, that makes it that more fun to play!

This show covers some of our favorite shows we recorded through the year 2017.

Artists from right here in Indianapolis had several stellar albums released. We began our look back on 2017 with guitarist Charlie Ballantine and his album “Where Is My Mind”. (HYH Podcast #21 : Charlie Ballantine) We moved on to Premium Blend and Jared Thompson with their great album “The Road” (HYH Podcast # : Premium Blend).

Next we went on the national scene to play for you a wonderful tune by singer Gregory Porter “Miss Otis Regrets” from his album “Nat ‘King’ Cole and Me”.

Before we ended the show with Ambrose Akinmusire’s tune called “Condor” from his incredible album “A Rift in Decorum: Live at the Village Vangard”, we played a fun tune from “Time Flies” featuring Monika Herzig and Peter Kinele titled “Esoteric Cleric”.
