Every now and then we stumble upon an album from an artist that both Matthew and I (Rich Dole) really enjoy. An album where we both are passionate about what tracks to play on the show. This is one of those shows. We feature the music of John Raymond from the album “Joy Ride” this time around.
The band, ‘Real Feels’ is a flugelhorn led jazz trio featuring Gilad Hekselman on guitar and Colin Stranahan on drums. Yes, a bass-less jazz trio with a flugelhorn lead. Whatever you have in your mind about what this band sounds like, erase it right now. This band goes beyond what one could imagine a band of this setup might sound like.
Expansive. Groovy. Intimate. Inviting. Flexible. Bold.
These are words that begin to describe the adventure this album will take you.
