I’d like to take a moment to thank the Arts Council of Indianapolis for the grant money I recently received. As many of you know, I make 95% of my income by playing music around the region, so as things began to shut down, my revenue stream essentially stopped. The money from the Arts Council will help me pay bills and feed the growing children in my home!
It is comforting knowing that I live in a city that values music and the arts to the point that they can send hundreds of grants to artists to help during this unprecedented time when work in our field simply isn’t available.
