We have been big fans of Rudresh Mahanthappa for many, many years. For those that have been long time listeners, you know how much we appreciate his playing and writing. We were beyond honored to have the opportunity to interview Rudresh to promote his upcoming show at The Jazz Kitchen, on Tuesday November 3rd!
He’ll be joined by long time collaborators François Moutin on bass, and Rudy Royston on drums. They call themselves the HERO TRIO, and their new EP, Animal Crossing, is one heck of a presentation of their small group prowess.
I hope you all can join Matthew and I (Rich Dole), on Tuesday at The Jazz Kitchen.
