David N. Baker was one of the preeminent jazz educators and composers of our time. With over 2000 compositions to his name, David Baker will be remembered not only with his music, but with the immense amount of students that came through his Jazz Department at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

There wan never a doubt that David Baker’s legacy would last for a long, long time, but now there is a new addition to his legacy: Basically Baker Vol. 2

During the summer of 2016 the Buselli-Wallarab Jazz Orchestra went into the studio, accompanied by special IU alum guest artists and recorded the second volume of music by David Baker. (Check out selections from the Basically Baker Vol.1)

As always the band was swinging and made this incredibly challenging music sound easy and fun! Check back here for more selections from this incredible album!
