Pat Petrus is a newcomer on the Indy jazz scene and he’s already contributing to the robust musical scene here in town. His debut album “Dark Places”, the drummer/percussionist/composer/arranger brings a strong voice to the table, complete with solid tune writing, a great line up of musicians, and a clear sound that stands out in a high quality crowd.
Pat recently graduated from Butler University and decided to stick around in Indianapolis to take advantage of the deep scene and plethora of great players with which to work. This album takes advantage of that wealth of talent as he employs and gives plenty of space to bassist Isaac Beaumont, Joel Tucker on guitar, Amanda Gardier on alto sax and Sean Imboden on tenor sax.
